New site on trial - Incentria

Following the failure of clicks4cents.com (see here) we are now trialling incentria.com. Whilst generally accepted as a good, paying ptc site we are (as always!) going to delve into the actual figures. Incentria.com is part of the North Owl group of sites which also runs the ptc site clicksia.com and the emoneyspace.com forum and community.

We are going to begin by looking at the paid-to-view advertising element of this site. The minimum payout is advertised to be $1.00 with earnings up to $0.02 per ad viewed. As always with these kind of websites, you will only see an ad at the max rate maybe once every 10 years! Analysing the numbers from the first few days of using this site we expect our first dollar to take the following:

Views to $1 929
Viewing time to $1 2 hours 46 minutes
Weeks to $1 10 weeks
Current earning rates for $1

This is a poor rate of return for the time invested but is better than a number of ad viewing sites we have used. We will return to these earning rates again in a future post as we explore the site further.

Click 4 Cents - Payment Proof and Verdict

Clicks 4 Cents - Verdict and Payment Proof

We have been continuing to explore PTC sites at paidtowebsurf.com and the good news is that we have another site that has paid out. That site is clicks4cents.com and the payment proof is at the bottom of this article. We gave some positive initial thoughts on this particular site in a previous post (see here). In general, that positive opinion has remained. Below we give brief bullet point lists of our closing remarks about this site.

Positives
  • IT PAYS!
  • The site admin appeared positive and professional in our dealings with them.
  • The ads were consistent with between 9 and 15 ads being available each day.
  • The minimum pay-out is $1, we got there in 12 weeks. That is a lot quicker than other sites that can take years before you can withdraw (see here).

Negatives
  • It is a low rate of return; we earned only $0.0012 per click on average. Very rarely did we have any of the advertised $0.005 ads. Other sites can double that rate (see here), but those sites tend to have much higher minimum pay-out levels.
  • You cannot micro test referrals with money you have earned on the site. Sites like Neobux allow you to rent referrals using your account earnings (see our PTC experiment page.). To rent 10 referrals costs $1.50 at the time of writing; and you have to put your own money in to get them. It would take 4 months to recoup that loss if your rented referrals do not perform well.

Overall this is a good ptc site. We put a few minutes of our time each day into the site and got paid after a few weeks. We trust the site and will continue to use it. Our hope is that as it grows it will implement some of the Neobux-esque rental option which will up the rate of earning and add that element of strategy that we enjoy about Neobux.

Superpoints

Everyday I log on my favourite forum I learn about new sites (today it was Amazon Mechanical Turk)! So today I'm going to write about a site I found recently that you might be interested in - or it could just be a site I never knew about but everyone else did and was slow on the uptake. This site has been going and paying since 2007, so it probably is just me missing this one, but anyway...

Have your heard of Superman? Supersoakers? How about Superpoints? Well  is a site with a difference... it's a fun site that pays well and combines Paid To Click (PTC), surveys, Paid To Watch, reviews and a lot more.

How the Site Works
You join the site preferably by using my link and then complete you profile information. This is a very quick step (less than 2 minutes) and means that you will automatically upgrade your "level" once you hit some pretty easy to hit targets - note here, that you will never have to put a penny into
Superpoints - even the upgrades are free! Once you've completed your profile you can checkout the numerous offers (which include sign-ups, videos, surveys, etc) and most importantly you can play the Superlucky Button.

What is the Superlucky Button?
The Superlucky Button, found under the "Get pints" tab, is a big colourful button that you can press (up to 30 times per day, increasing to 50 and then 100 with upgrades). The button decides whether you have won points or not. The win ratio is 8% - this is huge, with an average of 3 points per win you get 7.2 points per day.

What are Points Worth?
Points can be redeemed for anything from vouchers, iPods, MacBooks and even cold hard cash. Each point can be converted on a 1:1 ratio for cents. That's right... this site will pay you 7.2 cents per day for clicking a button! That's better than any legit PTC site I know of. What's more.. complete a few surveys and you can earn quite a bit of money on this site in a very short space of time.

Other Benefits
Another great advantage to this site is that any points your referrals win on the Superlucky Button (after you have at least 2 referrals) you also win!

Please let us know your experiences with Superpoints or any other money earning sites.

PTC68 - Initial thoughts

This post provides a quick review of the site ptc68.com which we have been testing.

Website

The website itself is good. Easy to navigate, nicely designed and responsive. Account statistics have a good level of detail to learn about how much you have earned and where referrals have come from.

We do like to know how active the forums are. Forums can be a good gauge of how active the site members are. However, there is no actual forum on the site itself. You are directed to a more general forum which discusses all kinds of PTC sites but not much of the discussion is about ptc68.com itself. This is a slight concern.

Earning Area

We have had a steady stream of ads usually receiving 4 standard ads and 2-3 micro ads each day. Standard ads last for 30 seconds earning $0.005. Micro ads last for 3 seconds earning $0.0005. At the time of writing we have earn $0.7745 from viewing 296 ads. This works out at roughly $0.0026 an ad, double the rate of clicks4cents.com (see here), and is a quite a good rate for a PTC site.

The main draw back is that the minimum payout level for this site is $10, quite high compared to other PTC sites we have used so far. To hit this level will take approximately 550 days, that is over one and half years of ad viewing.  In comparison clicks4cents.com has a $1 minimum which takes about 12 weeks to achieve.

Growth Potential

Looking at the site statistics we have, at the time of writing, 2783 members and a total paid out of $338.32. Given the minimum cash out level is $10 with a 4% commission charge that means a maximum of about 35 people could have actually taken any money from this site. That is less than 1.25% of the members. This causes us to question whether we should continue with this site.

We are not questioning whether the site is legitimate, just whether or not it could be profitable. If we are to put time into creating referrals for the site can we earn in the long term? Would the people we refer see potential in this site to earn money and continue clicking the ads? With the amount of time needed to hit the $10 minimum we have large doubts.

There is also the option to rent referrals; ptc68.com only allows the rental of referrals that have been active within the last 3 days and have 50 minimum clicks. For standard members the rental price is $0.3 per referral. The rental period is not quoted on the site although you can earn up to a maximum $0.008 per referral click. Bearing in mind we only make $0.0026 per ad click it is unlikely the clicks from our referrals would ever be this high.

One of the most the most frustrating things about the ptc68.com rental model is that you can not use the current earnings you have made to rent referrals. You have to fund your rental balance separately. That means you have to put a minimum of $5 into the site without being able to micro-test the quality of rentals. This is in contrast to the neobux.com model which allows you to use your current earnings. Thus you never have to put your own money into neobux.com site to micro-test rental strategies and earnings.

Conclusions

The ptc68.com website itself is as good as any other PTC site and the ads have been constant. The basic earnings per ad is also extremely competitive. The main question is whether or not you will put in the time to get to the minimum payout. You need to be committed for a considerable time period, as do your referrals, to get to that minimum level. We will be continuing our experiment with this site and will report again in the coming months.

Clicks 4 Cents - Initial thoughts

We have recently begun to trial the site clicks4cents.com and this post reports our initial findings.

Website

The website, whilst not going to win any design awards, is extremely functional, responsive and easy to navigate. The "Earnings Area" is what we are most interested in and and we have 3 options to earn. These are pay-to-click (PTC), pay-to-sign-up (PTSU) and the click exchange. Given we are currently only exploring earning using PTC this is our area of main focus.

One slight concern about the site, given the advertised 28,820 members at the time of writing, is that the forums seem slightly inactive. Forums are good indicators for how many of the advertised members are still active on the site (a concern if we wish to later want to purchase or rent referrals). That said, the forum admin is very active and seems to respond quickly to any queries generated.

Rate of Ads/Earnings

The PTC area shows the adverts available to be viewed. On average we have received 11 ads a day. You have to view the ad for 10 seconds before the earnings are credited to your account. At the time of writing we have viewed 237 ads earning $0.276 (approx $0.0012 per ad). To get to the $1.00 minimum payout, at the current earnings rate, will take about 12 weeks. The total amount of time taken to view the ads will approximately be 2 hours.

Growth Opportunities

At an earning rate of $0.50 per hour we would like to increase this as soon as possible. To really make money, as with most of these PTC sites, you need referrals. There is the option to purchase lifetime referrals. This is in contrast to NeoBux, say, where you rent referrals for for 30 day periods. We currently do not think the maths works with lifetime referrals and will not be pursuing this option for growth. We will be giving much more thought to the referral models used by PTC sites in future posts

Current Verdict

Overall we like clicks4cents.com. The ads have been constant and the minimum payout is relatively low at only $1.00. We will definitely be continuing with the site until this target is reached. However, it is a slow rate of return and the options for purchasing referrals do not seem value for money. We do not currently see ourselves continuing with this site beyond the first payout.

Slice the Pie Introduces Referrals!

I went on to Slice the Pie today, to listen to some good music... and get paid for it! For those who've never visited this site, go now. You listen to music, write your opinion whilst it plays and get paid between $0.07 and $0.35 for your write-up (depending on the standard of your review). It's that simple.

But even better than that, I saw they are now offering referrals. Slice the Pie is a UK-based company that has been around for a few years. They pay quickly, have good admin and despite changing the site a few times have never had problems attracting new reviewers and keeping old ones - so this is a bit of a shock... but a pleasant one.

Their referral program means that you get 10% earnings from all the reviews done by your referrals.  This passive income stream, in my mind, makes Slice the Pie one of the best earning sites on the web.

Slice The Pie

Now this is how to earn money!  Not a lot of money... but "fun" money, if you like music.

The basic premise of Slice the Pie is to get good reviews on songs for cash rewards.  The longer and better your review the higher your reward.  Also, you rating is compared with other reviewers and you can move up the rank and gain experience.  The higher your "rank" and "experience" the more you get paid per review.

The average review takes 2 minutes to write if you are going for 3 paragraphs and thinking about what you are writing.  This would yield $0.20ish.  So it's not great money, but some of the tracks are genuinely very good.

I think there are 2 good ways of using this site:
  1. Have it open in a tab in the background and dip onto it throughout the day when you want a two minute break from spreadsheets or blogging, or whatever you usually do on the computer.  I use this method as I'm easily distracted.
  2. Spend a good 10-15 minutes on it each day and earn a couple of bucks.  If say you do this 200 times a year that $400-$500 is a nice treat at Christmas - especially when you consider the other revenue streams you might have going on!
In fact the revenue payout on this site is actually quite good, when you work out the maths.  $4/hour is quite easy to achieve and scaling that up to a 40hour/week job it equates to $8, 320/year!  Though, I'd never recommend that anyone goes full-time on Slice the Pie, for people working at home or only with part-time jobs there can be serious money made here.

There are a couple of downsides to this site however.  Firstly, there's no affiliate or referral system (they don't need one), so you don't any money from sending people to their site - and sadly I won't get any if some of you guys check it out.  Secondly, the site can be a little buggy at times, especially when loading tracks.  The best thing to do is refresh the page and if it doesn't work again, come back in an hour - this problem might be due to the site still be relatively new (for this version).

Let me know what you think and how you got on.  I'm off to do one more review!
